Since 2001, the Sundt Foundation has hosted a series of sporting competitions across the Southwest to raise money in honor of Mike Gaines. Mike was a member of the Sundt family for two decades before losing his life to ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Mike and the Sundt Foundation worked together to create the Mike Gaines Charitable Fundraising Events initiative, which to date has raised $2 million, with funds donated to the ALS Association and Muscular Dystrophy Association to help eradicate the disease.
The effects of the Covid pandemic have led to the cancellation of Sundt's annual Mike Gaines fundraisers for ALS research. Our Sundt Foundation has continued to raise and distribute hundreds of thousands of dollars to other deserving Grant recipients over the past year thanks to your generosity. However, I'm asking if you might take a moment to consider joining me in personally supporting our local ASL Association.

ABOUT ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
